They were first serialized as part of the Yen Plus anthology magazine, and then later released as bound volumes. The English localization of the manga was announced by Yen Press at New York Comic Con 2008. The Advanced Story saga from Higurashi Kizuna was later adapted under the same name serialized from 2010 to 2011. Kadokawa's Comp Ace hosted a number of manga exclusive arcs, namely Onisarashi, Utsutsukowashi, and Kokoroiyashi. Around the same time, a manga adaptation of Hinamizawa Bus Stop, the prototype script of Higurashi, was serialized on Big Gangan. The three arcs from Higurashi Rei were adapted and published by SE in different ways: Batsukoishi was included in a limited gift volume released in June 2008 Hirukowashi was serialized on the online magazine Gangan Online in 2009 finally, Saikoroshi was serialized shortly after the end of serialization of Matsuribayashi in 2011 on the same magazine by the same artist to serve as the conclusion to the Higurashi story. The original arc Yoigoshi started serialization between the time Himatsubushi and Meakashi did and was later listed between them in Square Enix's official reading order. As a result of this, the beginning of the second and third arcs have similar character and setting introduction events as the first arc of the visual novel. The first three Question Arcs began serialization near concurrently in May and June 2005.


#Umineko when they cry manga volume 16 series
Yen Press licensed the series and began releasing omnibuses of two or three volumes in December 2012, and will continue releasing these omnibuses every three months. 53 volumes have been released over the entire series. Four tankōbon volumes of Legend of the Golden Witch were released in Japan between June 2008 and December 2009 under Square Enix's Gangan Comics imprint. A manga titled Umineko: When They Cry Tsubasa, illustrated by Fumi Itō, began serialization in Square Enix's Young Gangan Big on J and concluded in Big Gangan on April 25, 2013. The manga adaptation of Twilight of the Golden Witch is drawn by Kei Natsumi and started serialization in the February 2012 issue of Gangan Joker. The manga adaptation of Requiem of the Golden Witch is illustrated by Eita Mizuno and started serialization in the May 2011 issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan. Hinase Momoyama drew the adaptation of Dawn of the Golden Witch, which was serialized between the December 2010 and December 2012 issues of GFantasy. The manga adaptation of End of the Golden Witch is illustrated by Akitaka and was serialized between the November 2010 and December 2012 issues of Gangan Joker. Sōichirō drew the adaptation of Alliance of the Golden Witch, which was serialized in Square Enix's Internet-based magazine Gangan Online between Octoand February 2, 2012. The manga adaptation of Banquet of the Golden Witch is illustrated by Kei Natsumi and was serialized between the October 2009 and July 2011 issues of Gangan Joker. Jirō Suzuki drew the adaptation of Turn of the Golden Witch which was serialized between the August 2008 and October 2010 issues of Square Enix's GFantasy. After Gangan Powered was discontinued, the manga was transferred to Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine with the debut May 2009 issue and continued until the publication of the September 2009 issue.

The first manga, an adaptation of Legend of the Golden Witch illustrated by Kei Natsumi, began serialization in Square Enix's manga magazine Gangan Powered in the January 2008 issue.
